Fun Family Weekend

This past weekend filled up our weekend with a lot of family time together celebrating Halloween.  We started off the weekend with the Halloween Parade and parties at the boys preschool.  Then Friday evening we took the boys to their very first fair and we had a fantastic time.  It was so much fun getting on so many of the rides with the boys and seeing their huge smiles.

Saturday we hung around the house most of the day and made sure the boys got good naps so that they would have plenty of energy for the Harvest Festival.  We started off with ringing Grandma and Grandpa's doorbell for our first Trick-or-Treat, which served to upset the boys a smidge when we got into the car and they didn't get to eat the candy that they had just gotten.  I was thinking for a few moments that we weren't going to make it to the end of our road before having to turn around and go home because of all the whinning and screaming, but the threat of going home seemed to steam the flow of tears.  We had such a fantastic time and we actually got to let JonJon run around free from the stroller because he caught on pretty quick to the idea of us taking him to play a game and he would get candy for his treat bag.  It was a wonderful night, perfect weather, and lots of candy for the boys.
