Praying for Victory over Infertility one more Time - Dreaming in PINK

If you have been reading my blog, you know by now that my husband and I struggled for 3 years with infertility before being blessed with a great doctor and medications that worked to help us to have a viable pregnancy in August of 2004.  When we went to try again in 2007 we had to wait a few months because my regular physican had found my liver enzymes were raised and as a result my fertility doctor would no proceed until they were back to normal.  Well a recent visit to my regular phsician brought some bad news and a set back in our efforts to try again for baby #3.

The damage to my liver is more then likely caused by two things, my life time battle with my weight and the over the counter medications (Tylenol or Excedrin Migraine) damaging my liver.  My liver is what they call a Fatty Liver, JUST WHAT I NEED another part of my body that is fat.  Most Fatty livers are caused by hepatitis or heavy drinking, but since I don't drink and I DO NOT have hepatitis, that leaves my WEIGHT causing the problem AGAIN.  The ALT enxyme should be between 30-65 and mine is presently 93 (past numbers 72, 73, 98, and now 93).  The AST enzyme should be between 15-37, mine is presently 65 (past numbers 44, 42, 67, and now 65).  SO, all of this means that we will have to hold  off on contacting Dr.H to try for baby #3 because as long as my liver enzymes are raised he will not work with me, this is due to the effect the medications to get me pregnant and the pregnancy itself already cause some damage to my liver and so the numbers need to be great right from the start.  So pray with us that over the next two months, with the help of changing what I take for my headaches, exercise and diet changes, and taking Milk Thistle, that my enzyme levels will come down and we can once again return to Dreaming in Pink.

Of course, this news did not stop me from picking up a couple of sweet little outfits while I was in Tar'gee today (aka Target) for my, (dreamed for) little girl's wardrobe.

The Skirt was $9.99, Sweater $12.99, and the Sweater Dress was on sale for $9.08 (all size 18 months)

  2. I just found your blog through Kelly's Korner. I also have two little boys and would love to have a little girl or two! My husband and I were very fortunate to get pregnant with our two boys easily but five weeks ago I had a miscarriage. I believe God will bless us with another baby (hopefully a girl!) but it is hard to be patient and wait on Him. I wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you and your family.
