Christmas Baking Continued - White Chocolate Haystacks

Yesterday I was able to get a batch of Haystacks made up for our Christmas tins and wanted to share this REALLY EASY KID FRIENDLY recipe with you.

Ingrediants:
1 brick of Almond Bark (white chocolate, we use Plymouth Pantry 1 lb., 8 oz.)
3 cups of La Choy chinese noodles (apox. 1/2 - 3/4 of the bag) you can also use stick pretzles
1 - 1 1/2 cup of salted peanuts

1.  Mix the Chinese Noodles and Salted Peanuts together in a large bowl and set aside
2.  Melt the Almond Bark in a double boiler, stirring until completly melted.

3.  Stir the melted almond Bark into the Chinese Noodles and Peanuts until everything is completely coated.

4.  Once the melted Almond Bark and the dry ingrediants are completely stirred together, use a teaspoon to make stacks (haystacks) on wax paper and let cool until hardened.

Now sit back and enjoy the Yummy to your Tummy!

(these candies do well in the freezer, so bake ahead and save for a rainy day)

  2. Veronica,

We make about 7-8 differnt cookies, candies, or treats during the Christmas season. We do so much because we give away bundles of goodies in tins to our neighbors, church deacon families (my husband is a deacon), and to the boys teachers. Plus for us getting in the kitchen and baking is fun, this is how my husband grew up (in the kitchen), and we hope to pass on the tradition of being in the kitchen to our 2 little Boys. Thanks for stopping by ;-)
