Mcklinky Blog Hop - Christmas Ornaments

Today Mcklinky's themed blog hop is Christmas Ornaments, I have so many special ornaments, but the ones that hold my heart the most are my collection of Classic Winnie the Pooh ornaments.  I know it may seem strange to some, but when I was in high school and people would ask me, "What do you want to do with your future?" my thoughts always said "be a Mom".  I was very blessed to have parents that were such beautiful examples of Christ's love to me and my siblings, and all I wanted to do was one day have a family of my own.  So, when I was 19 I started working the Danbury Fair Mall.for the Disney Company in their first Connecticut store and that is when I truly fell in love with CLASSIC Winnie the Pooh.

My very first Classic Winnie the Pooh ornament was "Baby's First Christmas" and I tucked it away in my hope chest for the child I HOPED and PRAYED to one day have.  Four years ago I hung it for the first time on my son David's first Christmas tree.

I have collected many many more Pooh ornaments since that first day that I bought "Baby's First Christmas" and they still remain my favorites.  Here are just a few more from that collection and then some other favorites on the family Christmas tree.

One of my favorites, I think this was the second one I bought, its made by Willitts Galleries and made of bisque procelin.

Some more of my favorite Winnie the Pooh ornaments, made by the Midwest company from a molded resin material, I found most of these on ebay

The ornament on the left is of two doves it was our first Christmas ornament as husband and wife, the one on the right is the ornament we got the Christmas I was pregnant with Davey it says "Parents-to-Be".  The Mirrored glass ornament in the middle is from my company Southern Living at HOME.

  5. What a beautiful story! You brought tears to my eyes!

Reminded me of a letter I found last night while pulling out the Christmas decorations, found it in another box I was snooping in. It was a letter to my future first born child that I wrote when I was a junior in high school back in 1995. It was so funny to read yet so cool since now that I'm a mom.

Loved your story! Have a Merry Christmas!

I've added you to my blog roll! Feel free to visit me sometime! ;)
