Nativity Set Blog Carnival

Welcome to my World Janmary is having a Nativity Set Blog Carnival and I wanted to show ya'll my most important and loved Christmas decoration . . . . . . . our Nativities.

As a child of Christ we make every effort to place Christ first in our celebrations because HE is the reason for the Season.  Our nativities are proudly on display in our home and on the front lawn as well.

I got this nativity two years ago from Southern Living at HOME while it was on sale. I LOVE this nativity, I can't wait to buy the stable, but until then I display it with greenery cut from our yard . We don't place Jesus in the nativity until Christmas Eve.

This nativity is very special to me because it was given to me by my
children's choir at church several years ago.  I love putting it on display like this.

We set up the outside nativity every year at the beginning of our driveway in the front yard under the lamp post.  It is a tradition for Mom and Dad to set it up with Davey's help.  This year my MoG got in on the fun, because they needed to rebuilid the stable.

This beautiful nativity is one of our families cherished Christmas decorations.  It was made by my aunt many years ago and presented to my parents one Christmas.  I love that she kept it simple with classic white figures and tan stable.  The stable has a light inside and a music box.

 . . . . . . . . . and finally, this simple little nativity that Mom has on her mantel

I think next year I am going to find a simple kid friendly one that I can put on display in the boys room.  I pray that you and yours keep Christ at the CENTER of your Christmas celebrations this year.

Merry Christmas!

  3. Thanks for taking part in the carnival.

A beautiful nativity, as it shares such an important story, and special too as it was a gift.

Would love to see your outside nativity, so be sure to add another link to the carnival if you get the photo.

  4. I just found this nativity carnival and am enjoying reading each post. Thanks for your reflections on the meaning of Christmas, and for sharing your nativities. My secretary's mom made sets like your aunt's and it is one of my favorites.

I have an entire blog just on my nativity collection: http://carolanativitygallery.blogspot.com
