How to Make the Most of the New Year
1. ASSUME responsibility for MY life (For each one will bear his own load,.Galatians 6:5)
- Accusers- blame others
- Excuser's - reason for every failure.
- Choosers - assume responsibility for their own life
2. BELIEVE I can change. Only the power of the Lord Jesus allows us to change. (I can do all things through Him who strengthens me., Philippians 4:13)
3. CLARIFY what's most important (All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify., 1 Corinthians 10:23)- What do I value?
- What is most important?
- What do I need to make most important in my life?
Give your life to the things that are lasting.
My Personal Development Goals
- Intellectual: What do I want to learn? Proverbs 19:8
- Physical: What will improve my health? Proverbs 17:22
- Spiritual: What will deepen my relationship to God? 2 Peter 3:18
- Social: What will be my ministry to others? 1 Peter 4:10
Be SMART in your goals:
Specific
Motivational
Attainable
Relevant
Track-able (measure your progress)
It's time to get off the bench spiritually and physically and make 2010 a year empowered by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sounds like a great message! Your goals sound great too!
