6 Weeks Pregnant

This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that we will spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If I could see into my uterus, I'd find an oversize head and dark spots where our baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His or HERS emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute -- almost twice as fast as mine -- and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, our baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil bean

I am feeling well with very little nausea at this time, I feel weak to my stomach mostly in the evenings.  I am of course feeling tired really easy and often would like to take a nap but I don't really get many chances for that with our 2 little Boys.  Davey is very excited about having a baby SISTER and doesn't seem to understand that there is a chance the baby will be a boy.  He wants to name HER Peaches.  Jonathan on the other hand doesn't seem to be to keen on the idea of mommy having a baby, he points to my belly and says, "No baby" and then rolls his eyes in the back of his head.  We are excited but still a little numb and can't wait for the first chance to hear the baby's heartbeat.

Thank you all for your well wishes and sweet comments it means a lot to me that you are praying for a healthy pregnancy and some of you are even wishing with us for a baby girl, but most important a healthy baby.
