Kelly's Korner is hosting Show Us Your Life- Kitchens. Our kitchen is small but fully functional and is actually the SECOND kitchen in the home. My parents live in the main part of the house upstairs and when we renovated the basement into a 3 bedroom apartment we included a full kitchen. Do we dream of a larger kitchen with a walk-in pantry, YES, but for now this kitchen serves us well even though at times it is a little tight for two to cook in.

To maximize on storage space our cabinets go all the way to the ceiling.
The corner of MANY doors. Door #1 The Utility room with a few slats taken out to allow the cat to go back, Door #2 the Bathroom, Door #3 the Linen Closet, and finally Door #4 the Laundry Closet.
Some of my favorite kitchen details:
I filled my Southern Living at HOME trifle dish with Halloween candy and wrapped with a cute seasonal ribbon.
I love my wooden tray, I dress it up all the time for the season and carry meals and treats to friends homes or the boys school events in it.
I always have my favorite go-to cookbook at easy access on the counter. To the right is a very small view of my favorite detail that I forgot to get a full image of, I have three trivets hanging up the wall which I add ribbon to for the seasons and holidays.

I like the cabinets above the sink, they seem so convenient!
