Rachel today you are 2 months old (12/21) and will be 9 weeks on Thursday, December 23rd. You were not much in the mood for having a photo session this afternoon because your 2 month checkup was filled with three vaccine shots and one oral which left you in bad shape the rest of the day. You have been home with us from the NICU for 6 weeks now, and with each day that has passed we have watched you become more alert, coo more, and try to roll up onto your side.
You love when your brothers hang out over your swing or crib to talk with you, pet your head, or kiss you. They are constantly asking to hold or touch you, and we hate to refuse them, but if we didn't sometimes they would be right in the middle of your face while you drink your bottle. We can't wait to see how your relationships develop as siblings as you grow because they both seem to love you so much.
You are presently in the 75% of the DS growth chart, and 5% on the normal growth scale. (This will be the only time I mention the "normal" child growth scale because it is obvious that the CS scale will be your normal, and that is all that matters). You are drinking 6-7 bottles a day of AR Lipil formula with each of those bottles being 3-4 oz. You are working on your leg and arm muscle tone really well and beginning to move those more and more each day. You hold your head up for a few seconds or toss it back hard to get it looking in the direction you want to see. You will soon start your physical therapy to help you along with your neck, arm, and leg muscle tone and movements. You are officially a part of the CDSA infant-toddler development program and we met your coordinator today. You don't sleep very much during the day but, have already started sleeping 6-7 hours for us through the night over the past four days, YIPPEE!

ReplyDeleteWow. She is doing so well and she is so beautiful. I know your heart is full and the pictures of your boys with her is so sweet. I bet she will always have a couple of protectors on her side right? I love the photos and way to go on the all night sleeping!
