My Friend Sweet Cheeks

My friend Melanie owns a wholesale boutique called Sweet Cheeks, she has so many amazing and cute products, including my favorite product for Ra Ra . . . . .Squeaker Shoes.  I fell in love with a gray pair with pink polka dots and had "liked" them through another company, at the time Mel didn't have them on her site, but she talked to her vendor and hooked me up, along with a few other cute things for Ra Ra.  (My photo's don't do these shoes justice, because I didn't have great lighting the gray is a light gray and so so cute)
When I opened the package and saw that she had included the adorable yellow TuTu I was so surprised, and then all I could think of was seeing Ra Ra wearing it on national Down Syndrome day in March 3/12 and then again in October.  I can't wait to take pictures of her wearing it!!!
 Aren't these hair clips adorable!!

Please check out my friends shop, she has wonderful things for both boys and girls, and items that would make fantastic props for photographers.

Christmas 2012

It has been a very long time since I have blogged, life has been very busy, but it has been blessed.  I have thought for a while of catching you up and so what better time then Christmas.

(due to printer error) Version 2 of our Christmas card

D jr. is now (7), J is now (5), and R is unbelievably (2)  We took these picture while on a weekend getaway to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for my birthday at the beginning of December.  This was my first time taking our family portrait with my remote and for the most part I was pretty happy with the end result.

How we celebrated our Christmas Season
Our Christmas Season started out with a visit from Santa on the fire truck in our neighborhood, this is a wonderful thing our local fire department has been doing the last several years and the kids LOVE IT!

On Christmas Eve night we went to a lovely candle-lite service at our church and then went out to look at Christmas lights around town including this one that raised money  for the Wounded Warrior Project.

After lights we came home to make cookies for Santa, Jesus birthday cake, place Jesus in the creche, feed the reindeer and then for grandma to read "The Night Before Christmas" to the kids.
We love the traditions and creating these wonderful memories for the kids, memories hopefully the kids will look back and cherish and one day share with their own children.

We have spent a quiet Christmas around the house and for the first time in several years we managed to get the right balance of presents and the boys didn't fight, whine OR cry because of what one OR the other got.  PHEW!!  I also made a smart move and reprogrammed the boys gifts and put batteries in them so that as soon as they unwrapped them they could play with them (LeapPad 2s and InnoTab 2).  This was also the first Christmas that Rachel was able to walk around and open her own presents, YEAH!!!!

From our family to yours, we pray that you had a wonderful Christmas and that our Lord Jesus Christ was at the center of it all!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Birthday Weekend Part 2

Celebrating my birthday with my parents and family in Myrtle Beach was so very amazing, it truly has been my favorite birthday memory ever.  One of the biggest highlights of the weekend was going to see Pirate Voyage with David and the kids.  Such an amazing Christmas show (they revise the show for the Christmas season).

Amazing show I want to see it again!!

Birthday Weekend Part 1 of 2

For my birthday this year, the BIG 44, we headed to Myrtle Beach with my parents to a wonderful resort we love to go to called Dunes Village.  David, the kids and I have stayed there several times and LOVE IT, because they have indoor water parks and they are right on the beach, with easy access to shopping, dinner shows, and other activities around Myrtle.

We drove early on Friday and managed to get a early check in and after settling into the room went right over to the Ripley's Aquarium, again we have been, but it was my parents first time and somehow that made this time much more special.  The boys loved exploring the aquarium with Grandma and Grandpa and telling them about everything, while Rachel was seeing almost with new eyes, because the last time we had been she was teenie tiny.

For the rest of our time at the beach we hung out at the DV, in the pool, making cookies in the room, playing games and playing on the beach.  On my birthday night (the 8th) my parents took in the Carolina Opry and David, the kids and I took in Pirate Voyage.

Fun and memorable birthday!!
