Fishing vs. Bake Sale

We had PLANS . . . . but a great opportunity presented itself and we went with the flow.

We had PLANNED for Big D and Little D to work a impromptu bake sale in our historic district during Spring Fest weekend for our kids at church who will be attending CentriKid this summer (our son D being one of them).  They are trying to raise as much money as possible to support the kids fees for attending camp and my hubby is going as a chaperone.

However my hubby got a great invitation from my BIL to go out on a deep sea fishing day trip and we felt like we could not let this great opportunity slip past him, he works so hard and hardly ever takes a day for himself.  So off he went . . . . .

Little D, Rachel and I headed off to help with the bake sale all day while Jon stayed at home and had a fun day with Gram and Gramp.  We could not have asked for more perfect weather and everything was packaged so cute and festive.
Robot snacks (raisin feet, SweetTart arms, juice box and applesauce heads)

Cookies packaged in up-cycled tennis ball containers

 TRIX crispy treats

LONG but fun day and lots of money raised to help kids go and grow in Christ this summer!!
